Salary = R 40 000 to R 60 000 p/m

Introduction
It is our aim to complement our team with the competency to develop and maintain applications in a .Net environment as well as on the OutSystems platform. New appointees will be trained and equipped with the necessary skills to master the Outsystems platform.
The development, test and deployment infrastructure is hosted by a reputable service provider. It still implies that most of the application related services in the hosted environment should be supported by the development team. The team carries the responsibility to manage our applications through its life cycle.
The technology stack is a Microsoft server environment with IIS and MS SQL Server as the supporting environment for the OutSystems platform. The nature of our systems dictate data sharing with most participants in the cotton value chain and data exchange via EDI being a major part of our solution. We use the GS1 standard which is based on EDIFACT and experience in this arena will be highly beneficial.
Developer

General Requirements:

• Appropriate B Degree in Computer sciences or equivalent diploma.
• 5 years’ experience in software development.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of Object Oriented concepts and web development.
• Self-starter and able to use initiative
• Experience in the banking industry (advantage)

Technical Requirements:

• Knowledge of C# programming language.
• Web application development: HTML, scripting languages (JavaScript, jQuery), ASP.NET, CSS and XML.
• Programming with databases essential: SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL
• Application Server configuration and management: IIS and ASP.NET.
• EDI interfacing experience (advantage)

Experience with the OutSystems platform will be a bonus but is not a prerequisite.
