Our client, a highly successful South African organisation provides a fully integrated property development and management service in the commercial, retail, industrial & residential sector. These top producers are seeking a Development Manager to work within the commercial/liquid petroleum sector.

JOB REQUIREMENTS We are looking for a “Young Turk” who is seeking an opportunity to enhance his career. A Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science /Engineering or related field and proven professional, technical and business development experience within the Property Development Sector.
Full access to the top Project Management Teams and Senior Management will ensure that the exposure and support needed for this position to succeed will be guaranteed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• B.Sc or B.Tech Building Science
• 5 years’ experience in similar position
• Extensive building and construction knowledge
• Be able to manage various sites/contracts simultaneously
• MS Projects, Excel

DUTIES:
• Facilitate new development opportunities in conjunction with the holding company
• Custodian of all agreements
• Board presentations to EXCO where necessary
• Project management of continual upgrades to existing structures
• Implementing strategies and structures
• Health and safety compliance in terms of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Construction Regulations within the Petro/Chemical industry
• Environmental compliance
• Approvals / Licences
• Building client relationships
• Develop & implement long term strategic objectives
• Procurement
• Overall accountability for the profitability of the business
• Identifying obstructions to performance and implementing mitigating measures
• Attention to detail is a must!
• Excellent administration and communication skills
• Prepared to travel within Vaal Triangle
• Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
