Great opportunity for a candidate who has managed a software development team for at least 3 to 5 years.
 
Responsibilites:
  • Managing a team of specialist resources
  • Managing a project or set of projects
  • Ensures that business objectives are reflected in the technical processes
  • Understanding business requirements, business systems and process context, impact and risks
  • Management of activities within the SDLC (process owner)
  • Project Management
  • Ensuring that the Application remains adaptive to emerging client needs in its lifetime.
  • Technical owner of a set of Applications (e.g. CRM)
  • Understanding business' future requirements
  • Making recommendations for the improvement of the SDLC, PM or ITIL processes
  • Ensuring alignment to business requirements, and building trust with clients by displaying managerial competence
  • Participating and enabling the business Prioritization process
  • Ensures that the technical Application capacity exists for a particular set of systems (e.g. CRM)
 
Qualifications and experience
  • Tertiary degree (B. Engineer, B.Com, BSC)
  • 3 to 5 years experience in software development for large commercial entities
  • Must have managed a software development team
  • Change Readiness
  • Customer Service Orientation
  • Solution Architecture
  • Software development and testing
  • SDLC, ITIL (Incident, Change, Release, Problem Management)
 
Salary is negotiable on experience.
