DEVOPS ENGINEER

This position will suit a self-motivated, logical thinker that has the ability to pay attention to detail and is able to work under pressure. The ideal candidate must have sufficient experience as a DevOps engineer, be enthusiastic about DevOps, have the ability to take charge of specifications, development, deployments and documentation of new features, and must have a passion to make a sustainable impact in Africa through his/her work.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a DevOps Engineer position as well as a strong practical knowledge of RESTful web services, SQL databases, Linux scripting and software development is needed. Full stack developers are ideal for this position. The successful candidate must also have the ability to develop quality software incl. web based tools, micro services and automation scripts using Mezzanines’ technology stack which includes Python and Java. As well as use various tools to orchestrate solutions e.g. Ansible, Docker and use and manage source control incl. git and svn.

*Have a strong focus on business outcomes and ensure that service level agreements are met
*Be comfortable with code testing and continuous deployment
