Digital Specialist - Johannesburg

To serve as the creative influence behind the development of digital products for the group and regions
Responsible for the writing and maintaining of the social media content calendar and may liaise with PR
agencies to manage this. Identifies content ideas around topical events and manages all internal and
external approvals. Collaborates with internal teams on social media initiatives and pertinent discussions
regarding the brand and the industry and reports on social media activities. Collaborates across teams to
provide educational workshops and supports Manager Brand and Communication in various brand and
PR related activities.
This role will be supporting the business across all functions.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent with 1-3 years as a graphic designer, Digital Officer
Writing & editorial skills a plus.
+3 years’ experience in Sales and marketing and/or commercial environments working with
FMCG/industrial products.
Experience in Commodities and manufacturing industries also a plus
Demonstrates sound digital online knowledge of search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, online advertising, partnerships, PR, social media and the monitoring and distributing of queries received via websites.
A portfolio is required, along with knowledge of graphic design, typographic and marketing communications principles, print production processes, and web development
Extensive computer experience including graphic design software with a special knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, Keynote and PowerPoint, a plus.
Skilled in managing key audiences externally and internally
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Must be well-organized and able to perform duties with minimal supervision as this position will work remotely and travel frequently as per business requirement.

Highly organized and detail oriented, ability to work on multiple projects and manage competing deadlines
Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines + communicate progress
Solid understanding of intuitive design, how people interact with design, site architecture, user interfaces and navigation
Expert level typography / layout skills
Expert level with adobe creative suite, Microsoft office applications, video + photo editing
Demonstrable graphic design skills
Experience in Brand Narrative development for large, multinational companies across various communication medium
Sound understanding of our industry and dynamics
Takes action / Strong implementer - results driven
