A company based in the FMCG, Food industry requires an experienced Dispatch supervisor.

Oversee staff

Ensure optimal route and space planning to meet the day-to-day strategic objectives.

Understand and execute the planning process involved when stock leaves the distribution centre.

Ensure routing of vehicles to ensure optimum utilisation and vehicle turnaround times

Ensure drivers are debriefed, paperwork is filled and queries resolved.

Monitor fleet running cost and diesel usage.

Assist in supervising maintenance records of vehicles.

Processes all accidents and insurance claims.

Ability to analyse, interpret any shrinkage indicators, and act accordingly.

Be security conscious at all times

Essential:

Knowledge of Distribution Centre, logistics and supply chain operations

Have knowledge of the business measures and targets, directly related to own role

English -Read, write and speak

Be able to communicate proactively in order to build co-operative relationships with internal customers

Computer Skills - Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
