Driver Trainer - Johannesburg, Gauteng OR Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape

We are currently recruiting for a Driver Trainers to conduct training and evaluation of Distribution Centre code 14 heavy duty (Superlink) drivers. You will also maintain records of training completed, and conduct driving tests for recruitment of new code 14 heavy duty drivers.

Minimum Requirements/Criteria include:
• Matric (essential)
• Certification as Driver Trainer (Assessor, Facilitator and or Moderator)
• Valid EC License and PdP (essential)
• Minimum of 4 years relevant and practical experience in a driver trainer position within Logistics / Transport / Warehousing environment, conducting driver trainer courses (essential)
• At least 6 years Driver experience (code 14 heavy duty trucks - Superlinks)
• Full knowledge of Transport regulations and operation of vehicles and equipment
• Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken)
• Must be able to speak English, Afrikaans and 2 additional African languages
• Must had South African ID

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Administration
• Compile and submit all training-related reports within a given timeframe.
• Develop and Update with new information training material for trainees.
• Schedule training as per Operations requirements.
Operational
• Train potential drivers to enable them to achieve set standards by DSC.
• Present lessons for different groups of drivers.
• Be able to demonstrate to trainees how best to handle vehicles under different conditions and how vehicles differ from one make to the other.
• Address fuel consumption queries practically, by achieving above average results.
• Handle queries from drivers and customers.
• Driver allocation
• New vehicle allocation
• On the Job Training
• New recruits assessments
• Post accident assessments.

Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Pretoria, Gauteng or Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
