DTP Operator

Location: Observatory, Cape Town
Duration: 3 month contract
Start: 01 December 2015
Salary: Market Related

Contract opportunity available at a below the line agency with specialist expertise in shopper insight and in-store visibility. We are looking for a DTP operator to join our creative team. You are a problem solver, experienced in print processes and colour management, able to take ownership of your projects and execute them on time and in full.

The work is 50% presentation where typesetting and spelling are very important, and 50% production artwork for in-store displays.

Requirements:
Experience in DTP/Finished art.
A thorough understanding of graphic design and colour management.
Understanding of branding and corporate identities.
Ability to create print ready artwork for a range of print processes.
Ability to do typesetting, spelling and proofreading.
Be competent in raster and vector design tools, including but not limited to; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In-Design.
Be accurate and pay attention to detail.
Understand different print methods.
Be good at planning, organizing and time management.
Be able to work within deadlines.
Have the ability to learn quickly, think fast and deliver quality.
Work well in a team environment.
Enjoy problem solving.
