Requirements:
• Previous experience(3+ years) as a duty manager in a hotel or guest house
• Qualification in hospitality is beneficial
• MS Office and POS skills
• Experience of hotel reservation systems (Opera would be beneficial)
• Excellent English and Afrikaans skills (verbal & oral )
• Prepared to work shifts (weekends/ public holidays as relating to the hospitality industry)
• Need to be punctual, trustworthy & highly reliable
• Need to have excellent interpersonal skills
• Need to have team leader skills
• Be able to deal with complaints in a calm way
• Have a friendly & calm disposition
Duties
• Assisting with organising conferences, banquets & weddings
• Liaising with client & guests regarding all arrangements
• Management of the bar when required
• Manage stock-take & stock control of operational equipment, furniture & beverages on request
• Manage guest queries & complaints relating to service and accommodations
• Oversee all the waitrons
• Do room checks, floor duties
• Manage night audits & reception duties as stand in if required
• Oversee maintenance & liaise with maintenance staff regarding repairs etc.
