PACKAGE
3 Year contract (renewable)
Single and family contracts available.
Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience.
From 4400 QAR up to 7935 QAR per month. 7935 QAR +/- 29 800 ZAR, 1910 EUR , 1700 GBP. Salary paid in QAR.
Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
40 days paid annual vacation days.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

Minimum Education: High school diploma + minimum of 6 month technical certification program in cardiovascular related modality (i.e., ECG, holter, stress testing, telemetry, etc.)

Preferred Education: 3 year diploma in Nursing

Required certification/licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.


Minimum Experience: (LICENSED OR REGISTERED EXPERIENCE)

Minimum Experience: 1 year of cardiovascular-related experience such as in cardiology, emergency, etc.

Preferred Experience: 2+ years of cardiovascular-related experience such as in cardiology, emergency etc.

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Position Summary:

The ECG Technician is a member of the clinical team responsible for operating and maintaining echocardiography and other heart-monitoring machines as appropriate. The technician prepares patients for cardiographic testing on ECG machines and when appropriate, holter monitors, assists patients for stress testing, and performs associated diagnostic tests to measure the heart’s electrical activity. The technician works under the responsibility of the medical staff to facilitate safe and effective care.

The ECG Technician shall, demonstrate knowledge of practical methods and techniques and proficiency in the specialized use of equipment and tools. This knowledge has been gained through technical training.

The ECG Technician works within departmentally agreed routines, using detailed rules and instructions under supervision of the department’s medical or nursing leadership as appropriate.

Principal Accountabilities:

Produces recordings of electromotive variations in the patient’s heart muscle, using electrocardiography (ECG) machines
Provides data for diagnosis of heart conditions
Attaches electrodes to the patient’s chest, arms, and legs
Connects electrode leads to the monitoring equipment and starts the machines
Moves electrodes along specified areas of the chest to produce an electrocardiogram that records electromotive variations occurring in different areas of the heart muscle; monitors for abnormal patterns
Keys information into the diagnostic machine or marks tracings to indicate positions of chest electrodes
Replenishes supplies of paper and ink in the machines; reports malfunctions
Edits and forwards final test results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
Performs other duties as required.
