Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to take up the role of a Economist-Policy and Research.

Key Performance Areas:
Assist with the rigorous economic analysis of Companies cases
Contribute to the provision of the theoretical and intellectual platform for the effective implementation of the Competition Act
Report and account for case activities in the division
Advise other divisions with regard to economic underpinnings of competition issues


Required Minimum Education/Training:
Applicants must have a Masters degree in Economics

Required Minimum Work Experience:
Training and experience in Microeconomics, Econometrics, Industrial Organization and/or International Trade is considered to be advantageous
Strong analytical skills are essential
2-3 years work experience in an economic analysis environment
Knowledge and understanding of the purpose and objectives of the Competition Act, the Company and the South African economy is highly recommended
