(EE) SECTION MANAGER – ELECTRO MECHNANICAL
A reputable well established company that provides Water- and Waste Water Treatment Solutions for Water Utilities (Municipalities and Water Boards) Industrial and Mining Sector has a 3-Year contract opportunity for a vibrant, proactive Civil Engineer in Nelspruit.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful incumbent will report to the Manager: Technical Department that focuses on all electro-mechanical and related works and the responsibilities include the following:
• System Diagnosis and Fault analysis
• Attend to all electrical faults and upgrades related to water (waste-water) systems and recommend improvements and budgets
• Attend to all mechanical faults and upgrades within water (waste-water) systems and installed equipment and recommend improvements and budgets
• Scoping of Work and specifications for Subcontractors
• Supervision, quality control and approval of work by employees and subcontractors
• Ordering relevant spares for repairs and upgrades
• Closely work with Head: Quality Control and Analysis, for objective verification of impact of repairs and upgrades on Blue and Green Drop status
• Ensuring optimal performance of Client’s water (waste-water) systems
• Development of schedules for maintenance routines and instilling a culture pro-active maintenance per system
• Documentation of As-Built Drawings pre- and post contract
• Maintain a database of specialist service providers for emergency repairs and spares
• Manage, motivate employees and attend to all other HR needs within the section
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. BTech/BSc Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma
2. Business Management Qualification
3. Professional Registration with ECSA is an important requirement
4. Approximately 10 years hands-on experience in the Electro Mechanical Industry is important
REMUNERATION
Market related salary, which will include Medical aid and pension fund included.
The successful candidate is expected to complete and sign a “Declaration of Interest Contract” with the company.
