Our client based in Philippi - Cape Town (Southern Suburbs) requires an experienced Electrician/ Millwright.

Salary package: R311 411 per annum which includes benefits as follows:
Provident Fund - 17.74% full company contribution

The employee will take full responsibility of all production activities to achieve the strategic objective of the production department which includes the assembling, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical and/or electronic wiring, equipment and mechanical fixtures on the production line.

Minimum requirements:
Matric
MS Office
Electrical Trade Test certificate or Millwright qualification
Experience on PLC's
Must speak English and Afrikaans fluently
Must have 3-6 years relevant experience in a similar role

Key responsibilities:
Attend to breakdowns
Preventative action plans to minimise breakages
Regular inspections on equipment to identify hazards, defects or need for repair
Attend to scheduled maintenance and shutdown
Assist with cost estimates and drawings/preliminary sketches
Install/connect power cables to equipment such as motors
Knowledge or relevant policies and procedures
Ensuring compliance to electrical standards
Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools in factory environment
Troubleshooting
Understanding of the OSH Act and ISO
