An experienced Electrician is needed for a Certified Top Employer (2014) for a hospitality group that thrives on team work, and employee engagementEducational Requirements:Qualified artisan with minimum N5 qualification or B-Tech Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years maintenance experienceKnowledge of the OHSAct (safety legislation) an advantage.Wireman's LicenceReporting to:Maintenance Team LeaderResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair equipment to ensure a consistent quality product.Maximise plant availability through effective completion of preventative and routine maintenance schedules as required.Ensure proper document control is exercised and all equipment technical manuals and drawings are available for assets on site.Implement root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures.Liaise with peers to ensure effective control and co-ordination of contractors on site.Ensure availability of critical spares.Provide support on project scoping, execution and commissioning and ensure key resources in your team are part of the project team.Ensure maintenance practices adhere to the following standards, ISO14001, HACCP, FSSC22000, Company Engineering standards and any other existing standards.Daily feedback to Plant Engineer on all maintenance issues and plans to improve equipment reliability, product quality and safety.Set up an annual training program for maintenance personnel in line with competency gaps and plant requirements.Manage all maintenance personnel i.e. Discipline, Time and Attendance, safety gear, leave planning, utilisation of staff, overtime management etc.All spares drawn from the store and maintenance activities have to be coupled to cost controlAssist in drawing up maintenance budget and control such budget.Maintain AIB and safety standards by responding to AIB and safety job requests and taking immediate action within the areas of responsibility.Ensure that all equipment complies with the OHSAct and other relevant SANS codests:
