SUMMARY

A South African-based company recognised globally and respected for its excellence as a supplier of electronic equipment is searching for a professional to create detailed schematics, layout designs, and documentation necessary for the fabrication, assembly, and testing of electronic components and systems.

The successful candidates work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that electronic designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES

Capturing circuit diagrams correctly and accurately on company standard ECAD tools, currently ALTIUM
Laying out of PCB to mechanical constraints provided
Creating component footprints accurately on ALTIUM with all attributes as per IPC standards Executing Electronic Change Proposals to existing designs
Creating parts list, circuit diagrams and cutting and drilling documentation for PCB
Creating manufacturing Gerber files and relevant data for third-party manufacturers
Working to draw office rules and standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

National Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering or National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or PCB CAD Training certification with electronics background
PCB CAD Packages: ALTIUM & PCAD experience preferred
IPC standards for PCB Layout and Design
PCB layout for mixed-signal circuits
