My client is in the mining industry is currently seeking to employ an Engineer to be based in Isando.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

? Bachelor’s Degree – Mechanical
? Valid Driver’s Licence & Passport
? 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience
? 3D CAD, MS Office, PLM, ERP Software, FEA, CFD

Minimum Skills/Abilities:

? Excellent business communication – verbal and written
? Able to manage difficult customers and respond promptly to customer needs
? Strong technical understanding
? Able to solve practical problems in a timely manner
? Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
? Safety conscious

Key Tasks:

? Visit customers (throughout Africa) regularly to provide support and find opportunities.
? Generate and compile all design documentation as required by ISO 9001and other relevant standards
? Provide support to the entire company’s product range.
? Perform detail design calculations
? Perform finite element analysis (FEA)
? Create 3D models using NX CAD software
? Create and check 2D manufacturing drawings
? Compile technical documents and reports
? Provide technical support to production, draughtspersons and customers
? Failure analysis
? Interact with internal departments and customer/industry representatives
? Protect IP in accordance with the company’s requirements
? Adhere to HSE and Housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites
? Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times
