Role: Enterprise Master Data Manager
YOU NEED:
TO DO:
- To provide strategic approach to data quality management in order to enable an integrated data quality service, focused on the improvement of data and adherence to data standards, to support processes across the enterprises & value chain.
- Lead key data quality initiatives focused on data quality governance for all enterprise master data through data coordination and integration.
- Ensure that efficient governance processes are formulated, enforced and monitored to continuously improve the quality of data throughout the enterprise – both on a tactical and strategic level.
- Lead, manage and mentor the leaders of Master Data Teams within the organisation, with the goal to maximise productivity, ensure adherence to governance processes and increase the overall quality of master data across the enterprise, including establishing Master Data Quality Teams for all business.
YOU NEED:
- Tertiary + MBA, MIS or related-curriculum;
- Strategic and tactical insight with Enterprise Data Quality management;
- Expertise with analytics, data warehouse / data mart life cycles /methodologies / master data management systems;
- Data quality expertise to support the total business process enterprise wide;
- Exp defining and implementing a data governance program and formulating policies / procedures;
- Experience managing medium to large scale programs or projects
- Progressive informatics, data management, data governance, data stewardship, data;
- Quality management, metadata management, master data management and data architecture;
- Demonstrable leadership responsibilities;
- SAP Retail basic understanding essential.
TO DO:
- Understand; plan for; and provide guidance to mitigate the impact of incorrect Master Data (MD) across the enterprise
- Provide insight into best practise data quality management for enterprise and drive implementation;
- Work with CBO to prepare / present data-related strategies and initiatives to Execs;
- Formulate strategy to ensure data quality improvement across tenterprise;
- Implement and enforce data quality governance processes across all business;
- Drive business results based upon data-driven decisions that align with corporate goals and strategy;
- Develop strategic, tactical and continual development of enterprise data dictionary;
- Develop and manage a Data Governance approach, and policies;
- Coordinate with business reporting teams to ensure consistent standards, tools, best practices, and enterprise access and usage of information.
- Outline appropriate governance and control strategies for master data with business partners, data stewards and owners,
- Lead & provide guidance to grow and support the Master data Quality team as a mechanism for implementing ongoing improvements within the business
- Planning and co-ordination of work, including Prioritisation of projects
- Develop strong cross functional relationships
- Set the vision for high quality master data across the enterprise and ensure adoption of this vision by the business as well as the leaders of Master Data Quality Teams for all the business units.
- Set performance standards and KPI’S linked to bonus payments for Master Data Quality leaders;
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for design, development, operation and support of data management and analytical capabilities.
- All HOD’s (including COO) Master data quality teams, Department Heads, Buyers; International Trade; Finance; HR; Marketing; Supply Chain, etc
