Production Industry - Expandable Polysterene

We are looking for a EPS Production Manager (EE Candidate) in Springs to coordinate and manage all EPS Production Processes at the Plant.

The following are the Main Activities for the Position:
Define the weekly/monthly/annual production plan through understanding of sales forecast and plant performance & ensure availability of production teams to deliver efficient production of same.
Define the weekly/monthly/annual financial budget & forecast & report on variances on a routine basis.
Support the development of the site WCM program taking responsibility for pillar ownership as required.
Eliminate downtime, waste & material losses and reduce production cost per ton through the systematic analysis of plant losses and use of WCM tools.
Set the standard and continuously improve safety behavior of all employees in line with company standards & site safety rules.
Lead the continuous improvement of site housekeeping & ensure standards are consistently sustained through the implementation of 5S Methodology.
Support the development of a safe working environment for all through implementation of risk reduction projects to eliminate identified site risks.
Support the site ISO14001 program through involvement in environmental projects to reduce identified aspects and impacts.
Support the site ISO9001 program and ensure accepted product quality is in line with defined standards at all times.
Ensure the continuous development and training of the production team through the transfer of knowledge and development of procedures and training tools including SOPs and MKT2i (WCM).
Confirm role and responsibilities of production team and ensure delivery against same through both formal and informal review process.
Support the development and introduction of new products & raw materials.
Support the development of the plant equipment & technology & increase in the plant’s capacity.
Liaise with group engineering and group process experts to ensure the site implements production & process best practices as identified.

A successful Candidate will have ALL the following minimum requirements:
Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Degree/National Diploma.
Matric with English and Mathematics.
3-5 yrs experience in a management/leadership role in a continuous process manufacturing environment, with experience in 5S Methodology process.
3-5 yrs experience working in a WCM environment.
Must have experience with ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Computer literacy is essential (MS-Office and SAP).
Must preferably have experience in the manufacturing of expandable polystyrene.
Assertive individual with excellent supervisory & interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Team player.
Drivers licence.
RSA Citizen.
No Criminal Record.
