One of Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs longest existing restaurant, situated in a prime position overlooking the Indian Ocean, seeks a qualified Head/Executive Chef with a sound background from leading restaurant companies.The main responsibility will be the control and purchase of all food items, its correct portioning and efficient way in using all the correct ingredients in line with the very successful menu in place.The ideal candidate must have undergone a formal chef’s training and later on, has gained extensive experience in the management of catering opertions with a minimum monthly turnover of not below R 500 000. The chosen candidate will report directly to the General Manager and the Owner.Our client would expect the applicant to either live already in the Southern Suburbs or be prepared to move closer to the area, if living elsewhere, as working hours are determined by the business needs and include weekends and public holidays.All applications submitted must contain written proof of employment, supporting documents re training and education completed and a recent photo, please.Preference will be given to candidates, who live in and around Cape Town and are South African Citizens or hold a valid South African Permanent Residence!
