The position of Executive: Healthcare Management is vacant. The Executive: Healthcare Management will report directly to the Principal Officer and forms part of the Healthcare Management Division.

The Executive: Healthcare Management will provide support to the Principal Officer through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
? Manage the Scheme’s clinical risk healthcare outcomes and managed care services including disease management progress;
? Manage tariff negotiations, current reimbursement arrangements and alternative reimbursement arrangements;
? Monitor, Manage and establish the Scheme’s Healthcare Networks;
? Establish Strategic Healthcare Service Sourcing including devices, prosthesis and medicines; and
? Assessment and Mitigation of Risk.

Qualification requirements are:
? A degree in Medicine is a must;
? A postgraduate in qualification in Health Economics or Business Management would be advantageous;
? Must have 8 – 10 years’ experience within a Healthcare environment five of which should be at an Executive or Senior Management level; with at least 5 five years’ experience in health economics or healthcare network management;
? Exceptional understanding of the South African Healthcare and Medical Scheme Industry;
? Sound negotiation skills and Stakeholder Management;
? Methodical approach to qualitative and quantitative analysis;
? Ability to think innovatively;
? Excellent communication, written and reporting skills;
? Advanced skills in use of MS applications and data analysis tools;
? Should be detail orientated; and
? Must be a self-starter.
