We require an experienced Estimator / Sales Person in the glass and aluminium industry to source new business, maintain and enhance relationships with current clients, add value to the Company, guide all decisions legally, ethically and in line with the Company policies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Have good working knowledge of fabrication and installation in order to have a strong understanding of customer needs.
• Prepare estimates for clients and other business managers
• Develop project plans for the duration of the project
• Be able to research custom hardware to ensure compatibility with requested products
• Provide detailed estimates to customers in a timely manner
• Follow up on estimates and provide feedback concerning market pricing levels
• Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to customers, sales force and internal personnel.
• Maintain detailed and organised records of bid documents, correspondence and other project specific information
• Identify and quantify cost factors
• Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors on estimates
• Evaluate the product’s cost effectiveness or profitability
• Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience as an estimator in the glass and aluminium sector
• Own vehicle and valid licence
• Must be able to read and understand building plans and specifications
• Good computer skills
• Must have extensive knowledge of aluminium glazing systems and their applications.
• Must have strong geometry and math skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively and conduct themselves professionally; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be organised, and a self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, prioritise workload, and work with minimal supervision.
