Export Sales Manager

We are seeking an Export Sales Manager (International FMCG opportunity) to manage the sales of all products (electronic appliances) to customers and distributors across the African continent. Your role will be optimizing sales and profitability of the export business through servicing existing customers and by expanding our customer base while controlling the expenses.

You will meet the following minimum requirements/criteria:
• At least 3 - 4 years sales managerial experience in FMCG / Appliances exports with proven success.
• A good working knowledge of Africa FMCG trade.
• Sound knowledge of P&L, exports, consolidations and logistics.
• Experience in recruiting, managing and motivating people.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills and customer service skills.
• Energetic, self-motivated, committed and highly organised with passion to succeed.
• Knowledge of exports and customs regulations – Sea & Road
• High level of maturity and experienced team leadership.
• Sales & Marketing Experience in Africa for large Multinational would be advantageous
• Ability to speak Portuguese and French would be beneficial

As the successful Sales Manager you will be commercially astute and possess demonstrable experience. You will have a proven sales track record - achieving targets in terms of revenue and profit in a high growth environment. Key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

• Managing the export market and working collaboratively with the customer service team, to provide a shared vision in what is trying to be achieved.
• Working closely with agents in the export market to maximise sales and manage and grow existing/new relationships.
• Communicating and visiting customers/distributors/agents regularly to promote products and services whilst providing the right solution based on the customer's needs.
• Proactively identifying new customers, markets and products in line with the organisations objectives, targets and strategy.
• Providing sound financial, budget and risk management
