External Sales Representative
Location: Menlo Park, Pretoria
Offer: R11 000 basic per month plus R2 500 monthly travel allowance plus R500 monthly cellphone allowance and commission
Available: 01 May 2015
Type: Permanent
Working hours: 07H30 – 16H30, overtime required when necessary. Punctuality is important

Overall responsibilities of the role

The Sales Representative will be required to create new sales opportunities and to generate new business opportunities and close deals, and to upsell to existing clients, in order to achieve target. The Sales Representative must be passionate about selling and making target. The Sales Representative must be able to generate new business and focus on building strong customer relationships with potential clients.

Key tasks involved
• Seek out new opportunities in order to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets as per sales plan
• Manage sales pipeline in order to achieve targets as per sales plan, and assist with development of sales plans
• Preparing a variety of sales status reports including activities, follow-up, closings, and adherence to targets
• Create and follow up on referrals and new leads to increase sales
• Maintain relationships with clients to upsell and ensure annual repeat business
• Participate in and perform required tasks for marketing campaigns as per marketing plan, and assist with development of the marketing plan
• Submit sales forecasting and pipeline reports on time as per company requirements
• Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and sell the benefits of all the products
• Sales process: Ensure all activities, opportunities and forecasting are updated daily on the company marketing and sales system
• General sales administration duties
• Preparing quotes, proposals, presentations, and sales contracts

Required experience
• Candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years sales experience and a proven track record in a
professional or management services industry
• Must have experience of working towards and achieving target

Education and Qualifications
• Matric plus a suitable post matric marketing qualification

• Own reliable transport to travel to clients
• Solid references with no job hopping
• Extremely busy office environment with a great deal of teamwork
