The primary requirement for this position will be to facilitate the learning of candidates, enabling them to submit evidence that can be assessed for competency, against unit standards for credits towards a qualification

Principal Duties

1. Attend facilitator briefing prior to each new client/qualification delivery
2. Preparation prior to each class to ensure knowledge of the relevant unit standards, course materials and adherence to facilitator briefing and slides
3. Preparation of activities where indicated on the facilitator materials
4. Ensure all necessary equipment is available and working before each session (e.g. webcam, data projector, stationery, computer) as indicated in facilitator briefing
5. Ensure adherence to MCTA's slide format, curriculum design and timings where provided
6. Guide and support learners
7. Check POE's on submition using standard checklist and return POE's that do not comply to learners for correction
8. Issue learners with receipts for POE's
9. Keep records of attendance and send to project assistant within 24 hours of the session for invoicing purposes
10. Write coach reports and submit within 24 hours to project assistant in correct format
11. Assist with slides and course development when requested by the academic department
12. Give regular written input into curriculum design and slides to ensure they can be improved for future projects
13. Be alert for sales opportunities and pass leads onto the lead facilitator
14. Adhoc assessment when requested by assessment department, provided schedule allows for this and you are a registered assessor for this qualification


JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Current assessor accreditation by relevant SETA for courses facilitated
2. Excellent subject knowledge in areas you are facilitating
3. Must have a valid drivers licence
4. Computer literacy with advanced PowerPoint skills
5. Excellent verbal communication skills(English and Zulu)
6. Excellent interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work in a structured way and adhere to standard course guidelines
8. Good time management skills
9. Ability to work independently and in a team
10. Creativity in classroom.
