Our client in the La Mercy area is recruiting for a Facilities and Maintenance Manager, to ensure company infrastructure, buildings and assets are properly maintained and operating effectively. To provide specialised, technical support for mechanical and electrical infrastructure and equipment across company.

M+3 Degree / Diploma or equivalent in Property or Facilities Management, built environment or similar; At least 5 years’ experience in operations, maintenance and or asset lifecycle management; Project Management experience will be a distinct advantage; Knowledge of OSHA legislation and regulations as it relates to the Property Operations environment; Experience in contract management and tender processes; Effective trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills; Analytical ability and Attention to Detail; Excellent Planning and Organising skills; Relationship Management Skills; Very good verbal and written communication skills; Previous experience with Property Management and/ or Maintenance management computer systems will be an advantage; and valid drivers license

Develop planned and preventative maintenance plans for services across all functional areas within company precinct· Manage the execution of all planned and preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs for all company owned infrastructure, buildings, facilities and equipment (e.g. Pest control, Fire protection, Lifts, Air conditioning and water testing, Maintenance - infrastructure, buildings, electrical, plumbing, sewerage and storm water, Waste Management (treatment of hazardous waste, wet and dry waste; oil and acid spills, Generators, Pumps, Water Tanks and storage facilities, Waste Management, etc.) Ensure all repairs and maintenance to buildings and infrastructure are performed either through procured outsourced service providers or internal resources and are properly carried out and adequately monitored. Compile monthly maintenance reports. Manage the utility services within all buildings on the BMS.· Project Management – Act as project manager for maintenance, rectification and remedial work of a more technical nature;· Ensure all building systems are checked and tested regularly and maintained in accordance with supplier specifications.· Energy and utilities managementMaintaining adequate spares and instituting adequate controls over the safeguarding and issue of spares· General maintenance (walls, ceilings, windows, glazing, doors, locks, plaster, painting and space planning. Manage a team of technicians.
