Facilities Assistant

3 months’ probation then permanent in position

Reports to Group Services Director and Group Facilities Manager

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
• To act as second in charge within the facilities department.
• Co-ordinate and manage the cleaning aspect of the department.
• Assist with the general administration of the department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric
• Valid Driver’s License (Code 10)
• Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Previous Facilities management or cleaning management experience within a high traffic environment will
be advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES include (but not limited to):
• To act as back up for the building’s receptionist. (During breaks etc.)
• Updating the access reports on public for all Daly companies.
• General departmental administration.
• Assist the cleaning staff with ESS, and general administration
• Acting as a central point for facilities requests
• Acts as assistant to Group Facilities manager
• Completing the swipe allocation reports (deduction and refunds for access tags)
• Assisting the Facilities Manager with Access Control administration.
• Assist the Facilities Manager by liaising with external suppliers. (Eg: Logging consumable requests.
(ordering/allocating consumables)
• Co-ordinate first aid emergencies with HR and the Group Facilities Manager.
• To assist with relevant activities as predetermined by the Group Services Director or Group Facilities
Manager.
• On Call duties when the Group Facilities manager is away on leave.
