AA21367 - A Big 5 Game Reserve situated just outside of Mosselbay in the Western Cape seeks Field Guides with the following qualifications: Matric/ Grade 12. Diploma/ Degree in wildlife conservation beneficial or similar environmental training qualification. DEAT/ THETA Registered. FGASA accredited beneficial. Must meet basic Guide qualification requirements – First Aid, Rifle competency, PDP. Duties will include the following: Day to day Game activities on and off Reserve. Hosting of Guests during meal and function periods. Transporting guests on and off Reserve. Maintaining a High service standard and ethic in Guiding department. Maximising guest experience on the Reserve including Children programs. Working closely with all departments to ensure overall product offering is of the highest standard. Adhering to systems and procedures in line with Company Guidelines. Assisting in other departments where necessary. Assisting with Reserve Management practice.The candidate must have the following skills: Min 2 years’ experience as a Field Guide in natural BIG 5 environment. General Lodge operation experience beneficial. Knowledge of Fynbos Biome beneficial. Ability to impart relevant knowledge to guests and staff. Excellent guest relation skills. Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Responsible and Honest. Consistent in dealing with Guest requests. Flexible to working conditions and working well under pressure.
