Our client is a well-established industrial engineering company, and we are looking for a Field Service Technician specialising in Food Processing and Packaging machinery for the Durban branch.

The position involves travelling to various sites where the equipment of the company is installed, and dealing with breakdowns and repairs on site. The position offers wonderful exposure to a variety of work environments, and adds great working experience to any candidate.

The position involves a lot of client contact so you would need to enjoy dealing with people and be able to communicate at all levels. As you would be driving around a lot, you need to have great energy levels.

Duties & Responsibilities
Repair of electrical and mechanical faults with all nature of food processing and packaging material.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum 10 years working experience including apprenticeship
Experience must be within a food processing environment
Minimum N3 with trade test, preferably Millwright and Red Seal
Valid driver's license
Fluent English
Able to travel extensively
Able to do stand-by shifts

Package & Remuneration
Package is R30 000 - R35 000 basic salary, with overtime and other allowances. This basic salary is negotiable on level of experience. Company offers medical aid and pension fund, and the position has a company vehicle for business travel and private travel within reason.
