Finance and Admin Manager
Introduction

A reputable health group that has been existing since 1992 and has since committed to delivering 5 star convenience, is on the market for a Finance Manager to Provides leadership, direction, administration and supervises, plans, organizes & directs financial aspects of Day Clinics activities with multiple providers to ensure accomplishment of its objectives, handling routine financial operations.
Description
Main Responsibilities

Participate in hospital strategic planning to identify capital expenditure projects; together with Hospital Manager and Group representatives.
Develop operating budget, ensure final budget presented matches approved parameters, ensure sign off of budget by management and communicate approved budget to all units.
Develop quarterly forecast for the hospital, identify financial trends and opportunities for improvement in financial performance.
Coordinate, develop, and execute the forecast and annual budget within agreed upon timelines with minimal errors
Analyze and prepare variance of actuals to budget compared to prior periods, report on hospital performance, identify problem areas and implement corrective action
Perform all balance sheet recons month to month and ensure accuracy and completeness of all account balances.
Pass all standard journal entries month to month and ensure that proper approval process is followed.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as it relates to hospital.
Submit monthly VAT computations/calculations timeously for filing and payment
Review Payroll and identify any unusual variances.
Coordinate and oversee external audits, review findings and take corrective action.
Provide financial guidance, as a member of the management committee, to Hospital Manager, Nursing Manager, Pharmacy Manager, Marketing Manager and HR Business Partner.
Maintain, review and ensure all systems are current and working effectively) and escalate to service provider as per requirements.
Propose corrective action on cost management. Stock: ordering, receiving, unpacking, capturing, issuing, controlling and dispatching. Managing of stock levels Processing and submission of invoices
Manage and minimize risk with regards to any financial implications related to admissions, case management, and billings.
Monitor and ensure billings optimization each month by tracking the WIP & accruals reports.
Manage and review costs related to the service delivery of outsourced providers (i.e. catering, cleaning, security etc.).
Assist Hospital Manager in identifying service delivery issues for resolution.
Report on any variations from agreed costs on outsourced services.
Asset Management
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or minimum 3 years relevant experience, preferably commercial financial management in a corporate services environment.
Previous financial management experience in healthcare advantageous.
Sound budgeting and financial planning/management experience.
Analytical skills to interpret data and develop options to improve performance.
Understanding of risk management principles.
Ability to learn industry specifics i.e. related healthcare terminology.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, ability to influence other leaders in fiscal issues
Computer proficiency – Advanced Excel, SAP or other.
Self-directed and able to work independently, set priorities on multiple projects with a variety of deadlines and maintain complete confidentiality.
Demonstrates flexibility and an ability to handle a rapidly changing work environment
