POSITION: FINANCIAL MANAGER

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Manage the payments to third parties and employees
• Overall management of expenditure, creditors, debtors, cash book and relevant module reconciliations
• Manage month end closure, finance deadlines / timelines.
• Report to the CFO regarding cash flow update and cash flow forecast.
• Effectively manage petty cash, cashbook and bank reconciliations to ensure transactions are accurately recorded and authorised.
• Development and maintenance of internal controls to ensure sound financial and risk management
• Assist with all audit requests and queries
• Manage and oversee financial department staff
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders in organisation

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• BCom Hons (Accounting)
• At least 6 years’ experience in accounting with 4 years in a managerial capacity
• Good working understanding of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP and other public sector legislation
• Understanding of government policies and regulatory environment
• Understanding of tax and other relevant legislative requirements (BCEA; Contract Laws)
• Knowledge of payroll systems and financial systems
