Qualification:
BCom or equivalent Commercial qualification
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 6 years’ Cost and Management Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment
At least 3 years Financial Management experience
Cash Cycle Management
Payment requisitions approval and release
Debtors control and monthly reporting
Creditors payment cycle approval and reconciliation review
Bank reconciliations and sign off
General ledger account reconciliations
The reconciliation of certain balance sheet general accounts on a monthly basis
Sign off monthly reconciliations prepared by Assistant Accountant
Payroll Administration
Review and approve weekly wages payroll, signoff wages journal
Preparation of monthly salary payroll
Salary journal and payroll reconciliations
Maintaining salary personnel files
Monthly and annual payroll returns and e-filing
Monthly Management Accounts
Preparation of monthly management accounts for two offices
Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
Comments and variance reporting pertaining to management accounts
Costing
Overhead, fixed and variable cost reporting
Material cost monitoring and reporting in Manufacturing environment
Other
Annual Budget preparation
Oversee HR Administration function
Preparation of annual financial accounts for External Audit - 3 companies, liaising with auditors up to AFS sign off
Monthly and annual statutory returns
All Tax returns
Job Description:
Responsible for preparation, maintaining and administering of the group’s accounting function. This includes but is not limited to preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations of general ledger accounts, payroll administration, preparation of annual financial accounts for external auditors, BBEEE and Employment Equity management. Other ad hoc administrative duties.
