Main purpose of the job
Responsible for the financial processes, accounting function and liaising with clients ensuring the adherence to the WHC finance policies and procedures.

Location
Helen Joseph Hospital – Johannesburg

Key performance areas
Ensure invoices / orders comply with internal SOP’s
Compile a creditors recon and payment requisition on all invoices received.
Ensure adherence to the WHC finance requirements
Compile a monthly training report for CHRU
Maintenance of 3G allocations
Maintenance of the asset registers
Ensure the booking, coordination and confirmation of travel arrangements for staff within the unit.
Resolve Audit queries
General administration
Management of monthly timesheets
Management of internal loan accounts
Management of all professional body registration
Ensure NIH and USAID compliance
Effective self-management and performance ownership

Required minimum education and training
Grade 12
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous

Required minimum work experience
3 year working experience within the financial administration field

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
Work experience in a donor funded organization (ie USAID / NIH)
Working knowledge of ACCPAC and other financial packages.
Knowledge of financial reports and the ability to collate the same. i.e Income Statements, Trial Balance and Balance Sheets
Understanding of Budgets
Ability to work independently, self-motivated and a team player
Meticulous, Accurate and Organised
Good organizational and communication skills.
