Financial Accountant CA (SA) – Tokai Southern Suburbs Cape Town

Our client is looking for a young, energetic, recently-qualified CA (SA) for the position of Financial
Accountant with perhaps like 1 year post articles experience. ALL NEWLY qualified CA (SA) welcome to apply.

The successful candidate should:
• Be a qualified CA(SA)
• TOPP/TIPP Articles complete.
• Some post article experience needed but newly qualified CA(SA) welcome to Apply
• Be energetic, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a team if required.
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities will include:
• Full Accounting Function up to Balance sheet and beyond PASTEL
• Overseeing and assisting with the company accounting.
• Assist with PAYROLL function
• Auditing if financials
• Aid in the design and development of improved bank-recon, on payment and invoicing systems for our booking transactions.
• Design and implement improved structures for good governance and controls with regards to all company transactions.
• Pastel cash book entries, petty-cash, bank-recon, general company payments, salaries & deductions, etc.
• Ensuring company compliance with respect to VAT, Income Tax or any other tax.
• Improve the efficiency, reliability and controls of all of our financial systems and procedures.
• Assist with business development, and new company projects and investments.
• Responsible for SARS submissions, such as EMP201, VAT201, etc.
• Provisional tax calculations.
• Liaising with SARS, banks and other institutions if necessary.
• Assisting directors with business development.
• Strategic involvement in company expansion and investments.
• Assisting on various projects if required.
