FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – EQUITY

Minimum requirements
• BCom
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting environment
• Sound knowledge of ERP system
• Knowledge of SAP- advantageous
• Sound IFRS knowledge
• Advanced level of Microsoft Excel skills

Duties:
• Complete month end and weekly reports (SX and ARG consolidated reports)
• Process month-end journals in SAP and prepare reconciliations of GL accounts.
• Highlight any anomalies or non-functioning processes to the Financial Manager
• Make recommendations on corrective measures and report these to the Finance Manager
• Interact with shared services and external auditors to ensure smooth running of administrative functions
• Prepare quarterly and other ad hoc surveys as requested by management
• Do quarterly calculations and review of FGS obsolescence provision
• Review Corporate Cost Centres and actual vs. budget results
• Highlight anomalies and over spending to Cost Centre Managers and Finance Manager
• Submit accurate cost statements
• Review transport costs for all plants
• Highlight any anomalies and abnormal transport to Finance Manager
• Ensure adequate provision for outgoing shipments
• Review costs of export packaging and highlight anomalies to Finance Manager
• Attend cycle counts at Export Warehouse
• Prepare, consolidate and co-ordinate annual budget and quarterly forecast
• Update SAP Fixed Asset Register and review and update Capital WIP account
• Prepare monthly accounts, annual budget and quarterly forecast for the DAF site
