Key Purpose Statement
The primary purpose of the Financial Accountant: Transactional Management is to:
• Provide an appropriate service for the management and coordination of all transactional financial accounting activities in the company, which results in an optimal balance sheet across all GL accounts.
• Ensure compliance to accounting standards
• Ensure the company complies to functional specific group policies
• Provide a high quality, efficient and optimal function for the management of the GL and the preparation of balance sheet recons within the financial accounting function
• Provide financial expertise and knowledge across financial accounting

Key Outputs and Accountabilities
• Management of the integration of Transactional Management function, including processes, systems and tools.
• Ensure simplified and standardised month/quarter/yearend processes are followed
• Ensure timeous and accurate transactional processing occurs for all relevant balance sheet accounts
• Identify opportunities to eliminate process inefficiencies
• Provide a support role in the development and maintenance of GL standardisation and management
• Attendance of stock counts and ensure compliance to hard close and year end procedures
• Provide insightful, timeous balance sheet related reporting
• Implementation and compliance with accounting policies
• Provide value adding and analytical insights identifying opportunities for the optimisation of transactional management

Qualifications and Experience
• B Com or equivalent
• CA (SA) advantageous
• 3+ years Financial Accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• A high level of computer literacy (SAP, BW, MS Office).
