EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

• BCom + Articles

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• +-3 years’ experience in a comparable position
• SAP Experience an advantage
• Computer literate (Ms Word, Ms Excel, etc.)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

The position demands, amongst others, the following key performance areas:

• Coordinate, complete and oversee entire financial accounting function for the Group (including accounts payable - local and foreign vendors) process within strict designated daily and monthly deadlines.
• Monitor and follow up on all inter-company aging of customer and vendor transactions with Manila IC
• accurately apply mathematical principals to calculate appropriate taxes (VAT).
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT201 before deadline and perform VAT reasonability reviews.
• Assist in month end closing by raising accruals and journal entries.

• Review month end journal entries posted by payroll.
• Train as back-up for assistant controller
• Reconcile certain general ledger accounts on Blackline, follow up and correct discrepancies.
• Assist Manila in GRIR account review and ensure no open items outstanding for longer than 90 days.
• Calculate commission payable to branch agents and submit for approval and payment to Payroll
