Qualification:

BCom Degree in Accounting or similar


Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience

Excellent computer literacy in Excel and financial systems

Experience in Xero Accounting System

Professional communication skills (both verbal and written)

Sound knowledge of accounting practices and principles

Supervisory experience


Job Description:

Day to day management of the finance function

Cost management, including purchase planning and leading cost saving initiatives

Overseeing a clerk

Debtors and creditors management

Handling of all banking transactions via internet banking

Departmental budgeting planning and control

Preparation of monthly and annual cash-flow forecasts

Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting

Fixed asset management and control

Monthly preparation and review of journals

Ensure all finance policies and procedures are adhered to and improving and implementing internal control

Overseeing payroll function, VAT and income tax submissions that are outsourced

Getting the trial balance to final state for Financial Statement audit and attending to external auditor queries
