Accountant
My client has an opportunity for a Financial Accountant. This individual will manage the accounting function and be responsible for the monthly close process and the completion of external audits and tax reporting.
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting related tasks including general ledger, monthly close, internal and external reporting and financial audits in compliance with US GAAP
Establish and execute accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
Ensure that monthly journal entries and account reconciliations are prepared accurately and in a timely manner
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of balance sheet accounts, revenue recognition, expense classifications and international consolidations
Serve as the lead technical accounting resource for the company and proactively anticipate, research & analyze complex accounting issues
Manage world-wide daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Transactions, Payments, Billing, Collections, Fixed Assets and Payroll
Facilitate and support audits, corporate tax filings, tax nexus, and international accounting issues
Manage and mentor the accounting team

Article experience a plus and/or CIMA qualification a plus
Experience managing a small team in a hands on
3-6 years post article experience ideally for a tech / start-up company
Strong accounting technical knowledge, e.g., revenue recognition, consolidation
