Financial Manager - fmcg manufacturing

This well-established Business Unit, part of a fast expanding meat processing Group comprises a range of 60 different product lines, supplying value added meat products to retail clients. With a current turnover of R6/7m per month and growing fast, we are in need of a strong and dynamic Financial Manager to assist the management team during the next growth phase. You will report to the Factory Manager, while managing a small team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall accounting of the business unit, which includes:
• Monthly accounting and administration work
• Monthly financial reports
• Costing
• Budget Control
• Cash flow predictions
• Develop and maintain internal controls
• Statutory submissions
• Debtors
• Creditors
• Invoicing

The ideal candidate:

• 10 – 15 years relevant working experience of which 5 years in the manufacturing and/or food industry (FMCG)
• Staff Management Experience
• Liaising with auditors and shareholders
• The ability to work independently
• Strong Analytical and numeric skills
• Hands-on approach
• Computer literate (Pastel and Excel essential)
• A solid track record as a senior bookkeeper up to balance sheet
