Experienced Finance Manager
NB: Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates as per the Company’s Employment Equity plan and targets.
BCom (Hons) - Mandatory

Listed Company with regional offices in Cape Town has a vacancy for a strong BBBEE candidate with 5 years experience post Articles to head up their finance division.

You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the region and for the finance activities of the business - at all times ensuring compliance with accounting policies, standards and proper maintenance of accounting records.

The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with SARS regulations and managing third party payments.


Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:

Fixed Assets
- Ensure oversight and submission of relevant information to Head office

Payroll
- Review the payroll data and records on a monthly basis for accuracy, completeness and compliance and ensure employees are timeously paid

Regulatory
- Prepare and submit all SARS and regulatory returns
- Reconcile differences and resolve queries

Providing Direction For Business
- Improving BBBEE status – by facilitating enterprise development
- Facilitating BEE audit
- Compilation BEE quarterly reports to Head Office

Audit & Risk Management
- Prepare finance risk profile and develop plans to reduce and minimize
- Ensure stock takes are properly undertaken and the results reviewed and reported based on an internal control aspect
- Ensure that all purchasing procedures and authority limits set out in the approval framework are adhered to
- Submission of relevant quarterly reports to Head Office

Reporting
- Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, monthly financial information and providing and interpreting financial information
- Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines to region
- Keeping abreast and reporting changes in financial regulations and legislation
- Reporting BBBEE and sustainability statistics to Head Office
- All other adhoc reporting as required by the financial director

Manage the budget process
- Prepare and present the Cape Region’s budgets to management
- Preparing the budget upload files for submission to Head Office

General
- Liaising with auditors to ensure annual auditing is carried out
- Developing and managing financial systems/models
- Manage cash flow
- Facilitate and manage external financial audit
- Facilitate and manage internal financial audits
- Resolution of all internal and external audit queries
- Perform ad hoc tasks allocated by the financial director

Qualification and/or Experience:
- Bcom(Hons) – Mandatory
- 5 years’ experience post articles experience
