Our Client a logistics Transport concern is looking for a Financial Manager qualified and experience as a CA(SA) must be a qualified CA(SA) – Please don’t apply if you not a CA(SA) as it’s a strict requirement from the Client. This position is open for EE Candidates ONLY.

Job function
To manage the financial transaction cycles and resources in the Warehouse Logistics business unit, to ensure on-time and accurate financial transaction processing and the provision of financial management reports, enabling financial risk reduction, compliance with financial governance and client satisfaction.

Salary Negotiable plus Benefits, Annual Bonusses and a Performance 13th Cheque

Qualifications required
Chartered Accountant CA(SA)

Experience required
• At least three to five years’ experience in the financial management field
• Experience in the logistics field will be advantageous
• Meticulous, detailed, well-organised and ability to work independently and under pressure, with high level of attention to detail and accuracy

Key performance areas
• Ensuring sound financial controls are in place and adhered to
• Cash flow analysis and cash management
• Responsible for accurate and complete general ledger accounting and on-time delivery of monthly trial balance in accordance with IFRS accounting standards
• Review all monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage working capital
• Ensure the business complies with all corporate deadlines
• Submission of all monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external reports
• Submission of flash reports as required throughout the month
• Monthly review and recording of payroll
• Calculation of the monthly VAT payable and on-time submission for consolidation with group VAT201 returns
• Review of fixed asset register and submission of CAPEX requests to head office
• Preparation of the annual budget and bi-annual forecasts
• Supply supporting information required for the completion of income tax return
• Drive BEE procurement and review monthly BEE report submissions
• Assist with the compilation of insurance reporting as required
• Maintain all rate cards with clients
• Perform profitability and cost analysis on current and new clients
• Client and supplier contract management
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits
• Ad hoc reports and projects as required
