Our client requires the service of a Financial Manager to manage the company’s overall financial function, policies, accounting practices and internal controls.

Key performance areas:

? Ensure a proper financial closure at months’ end and that the necessary monthly financial reports are produced, approved and filed.
? Oversee Financial Year-end Audit, compilation of Annual Financial Statement and Reports and preparation for Annual General Meeting and other Company secretarial duties
? Prepare Annual consolidated departmental and company budget for presentation and approval by the Board of Directors.
? Update monthly high level forecast.
? Calculate annual company tax payable, obtain approval from Auditors and pay via e-filing. Handle queries with SARS.
? Responsible to implement, review and improve the necessary financial policies, procedures, processes in the department and controls mechanisms in the rest of the company.
? Prepare reports and attend Board of Directors, Audit, Treasury management as well as Social and Ethics committee meetings.
? Manage company’s Foreign Currency exposure.
? Manage company monthly Cash Flow requirements, financial resources, credit control and liquidity.
? Perform Company Secretary function
? Renew annual insurance policies and assist with claims
? Manage IT consultants and ensure a stable IT environment
? Responsible for all supplier agreements and credit applications
? Member of Member of Management Committee
? Manage Finance Department with 6 incumbents.

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric and a B.Com degree or CA qualification
? 5-7 years’ experience in financial reporting and financial management in a finance department of a small to medium sized commercial entity
? 3-4 years managerial experience
? Advanced Tax Qualification would be advantageous
? Experience in the Wine Industry will be an advantage
? Ability to work independently and under pressure
? Proven computer literacy (MS Office & Excel)
? Knowledge of ERP and IFRS would be an advantage
? Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential
? Ability to communicate with all levels of employees
? Attention to detail
