Our client a leading international firm based in Johannesburg is searching for a Financial Manager The successful candidate will be required to travel regularly to Brits North West province

Key performance areas
Ensure effective financial reporting of OPEX vs Budget and Forecast as well as Capital budget
Preparing and controlling budget and forecast aligned to budget guidelines
Ensure good corporate governance is maintained
Implement and ensure compliance with internal control procedures
Ensure improvement of cost effectiveness
Ensuring effective administrative housekeeping
Statutory reporting
Ensure sound employee relations corrective and grievance procedures are effectively managed in department
Effective performance management of subordinate
Develops employees to ensure career progression and adequate back up personnel for key positions
Actively develops shares and adopts agreed upon company wide best practices
Responsible for both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for the company by ensuring compliance with company procedures
Participates as a contributing team member in appropriate company wide meetings and training

Requirements
BCom degree or equivalent qualification
3 to 5 years experience in industrial environment
2 to 3 years experience in a managerial position would be beneficial
Proven track record with analysis of key processes and setting up of procedures and ensuring strong internal controls
Fluency in Afrikaans and English mandatory
Proven track record of working in a financial environment
Computer literacy in SAP would be beneficial
