Job Description:
Financial Manager

Exciting opportunity for an experienced CA with property industry experience to work for an established property company. Medium potential for FD or MD role.
Manage a small team of accountants
Review and authorisation of financial transactions and payments
Assist with the valuation of the property portfolio
Ensure that the budgeting process is carried out timeously, that due process is followed and that budgets are accurately prepared
Prepare the Annual Financial Statements as well as the interim reports and other related reports in accordance with all the legislation and regulations
Provide information to the various stakeholders for decision making and corporate functioning in a timely manner i.e. monthly accounting packs
Negotiate deals with the banks in line with business requirements e.g. rates and interests
Provide a treasury service to the business
Complete and/or review the various tax returns for the group

CA (SA) is essential
Minimum 10 years post articles experience in a commercial environment
Exposure to property and property trusts and or real estate is an advantage or solid commercial experience
Understanding of MD operations
Thorough knowledge of IFRS
Exposure to bank loans
A good understanding of Company taxation
Strong analytical, investigative and probing skills
Excellent people skills and emotional intelligence
Ability to persuade or inspire others to gain acceptance of good ideas
Focus on professionalism, integrity and ethical decision making
Outstanding report writing skills
Meticulous in attention to detail

Salary package includes medical aid, pension fund, car allowance and excludes performance related bonus
