Our client in the retail industry requires the service of a hands-on Financial Manager who is a self-starter and passionate about the retail industry. The Financial manager will be responsible for ensuring sound financial administration in Durban DC's.

Key performance areas:

? Resolve supplier queries
? Compile and update DC Budget
? Authorised payments of expense invoices
? Raise of orders and payments of CAPEX
? DC allowances – analysis and follow-ups
? Support to and liaison with external auditors
? Maintain reliable, timely and informative financial data for decision making purposes
? Assist in implementation and maintenance of an effective and sound internal control and risk management environment
? Assist in driving improvements in current processes (administrative and operational)
? Monthly income statement (P&L)
? Preparation and calculation of financial stock take results
? Weekly agency payments
? Operational work planning, priority setting and scheduling
? Operational performance monitoring
? Process improvement, process policies, procedures and performance standards

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a B.Com Accounting degree or B.Com Honours in Accounting
? Professional Registration as a Chartered Accountant with SAICA
? Minimum 2 Years Financial Management experience within an FMCG environment
? Knowledge of operational aspects of the Retail/ FMCG business
? Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, SAP experience will be advantageous)
? Must be accurate and detail orientated
? Must have excellent planning and organizational skills
? Must be operationally orientated
