Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage, supervise and approve all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and cashflow forecast.
• Prepare and publish individual entity management accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage key supplier and customer financial relationships.
• Release payments
• Maintain sustainable financial relationships with material suppliers
• Maintain sustainable financial relationship with Customers’ financial team

Assist in development of commercial models
• Assist CE with special deals, pricing arrangements, discount models etc.
• Evaluate and manage finance team performance
• Exercise oversight over year end audit and monthly compliance activities.
• Implement the finance team strategy and roadmap

Key Performance Indicators:
• To manage and enforce adherence to all budgets according to Management instructions on an ongoing basis. To manage all debtors invoicing and collections and generate relevant reports to present to the MD on an ongoing basis.
• Evidence: debtors age analysis, email statements, phone calls, proof of payments, remittance advise
• To manage all creditors invoicing and payments and generate relevant.


Academic & trades qualifications
• Grade 12
• Completed BCompt Accounting or similar Degree
• Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles in an audit firm preferably
• Advanced computer skills, incl. MS Office Suite, especially Excel
• Advanced skills in accounting systems i.e. Pastel, SAP

Experience Required
• Minimum of 3-5 years Senior Accountant, Financial Controller or similar experience
• Track record of managing and developing subordinates
• No criminal record
• Able to pass background check
