TECHNICAL ACCOUNTANT / TAX PRACTITIONER – HOUTBAY, ATLANTIC SEABOARD, CAPE TOWN

Our client is looking for a well experienced Financial Technical Accountant / Tax Practitioner in the Houtbay Area. Ideal candidates need to have at least Minimum 5 year’s practical experience in tax administration.

SALARY NEGOTIABLE

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum 5 years practical experience in tax administration.

· Sound knowledge of income and provisional tax calculation and legal compliance.

· Sound knowledge of Pastel Accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

· Registered Tax Practitioner with SARS &

· Tertiary qualification in Technical Financial Accountant.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / KEY RESULT AREAS / OUTPUTS (WHAT WILL THEY BE DOING?):

· Review of all monthly Vat processing.

· Review of bi-monthly VAT reconciliations.

· Review of all statutory related information for individuals/companies/trusts.

· Annual discussions with clients regarding all financials.

· Review and coordinate management accounts to all clients.

· Review of all payrolls on a monthly basis.

· Management and consulting to clients as and when required.

· Coordination of EMP501 process, WCA process and all deadlines.

Responsible for Income TAX (individuals/companies and trusts) including:

· Provisional tax process, submissions and top ups.

· Income tax deadlines

· Income tax calculations

· Review of income taxes

· Income tax consulting

· Tax clearance certificates

· Process management accounts to trial balance and prepare for accounting officer to sign off.

· Meet monthly targets.

· Source new clients.
