FINGER JOINT MANAGER - WHITE RIVER - RNEGOTIABLE - PROFIT SHARE – ACCOMMODATION

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:
NMMU(Saasveld) Wood technology or BSc (Wood Science) qualification will be advantageous;
Minimum 2 years proven Saw Milling experience (saw mill and dry mill);
Good knowledge of Finger-joint production processes;
Good knowledge of SANS Standards (Structural Board Grading);
Knowledge and understanding of OHS Act;
Computer literate, i.e. MS Excel & Word;
Exposure to Planned Maintenance Systems;
Elementary Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledge regarding saw milling equipment would be advantageous;
Must be able to lead and manage a team of ±40 employees.

Entrepreneurial spirit;
Self-motivated, hardworking individual that can can function well within a team;
Must be prepared to work shifts and/or overtime from time to time;
Reporting line: Report to Production Manager

Job Description
Manage all Finger-joint activities and staff requirements;
Maintain and improve production throughput and quality standards for the above section/s;
Manage operating costs;
Maintain safety standards and housekeeping practices;
