Purpose of the job : To be responsible for offering exceptional standards and service to our customers.
Main Responsibilities / Outcomes:
Staff management and address any performance issues
Duty management shifts
Maintain and improve standards in the restaurant
Regular and consistent training of staff/skills training
To be fully aware of trends in the industry and recommend suggestions for improvement.
Stock control
Qualifications &Specifications
Matric, Hospitality/Hotel School Diploma
1-2years F&B experience in a supervisory position
Banqueting exposure
Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, Email)
Exposure to restaurant, room service, bar and lounge is essential
Restaurant reservation experience is advantageous
Own transport is advantageous
Micros – point of sale management is advantageous
Subscribes to high service values and ethics.
IR and HR training is advantageous
Floor management experience
Staff management experience
4 or 5 Star experience
Knowledge :
Must have good understanding of operating Micros or similar point of sale
Good food and wine knowledge
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
Attention to detail
Self-managed, motivated and flexible
Food and wine pairing
Bar operation
Personal Attributes:
Ability to work flexible working hours- shifts
Team Player and excellent customer relations
Ability to go the extra mile
