Key performance indicators:

• To ensure the delivery of quality products that are innovative, safe and legally compliant
• To enhance brand integrity via technical expertise and knowledge
• To play the technical role in the delivery of the commercial product development program in a defined product category
• To manage and deliver the assigned components of the technical business plan
• Support the delivery of all product development within the category
• Maintaining and enhancing technical knowledge

Minimum requirements for the position are as follows:

• Technical Food science degree qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience (B Tech)
• Knowledge of food safety and packaging legal requirements
• Knowledge of the technical role in the product development process
• Knowledge of the technical requirements of food manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control systems and processes
• Knowledge of project management
• Knowledge of technical food safety auditing desirable
• Willing to accept occasional international travel and additional working hours
• Valid driver’s license
